Day 157 - Cigars

My husband enjoys an occasional cigar in the summer time, so for his birthday when I couldn't figure out what to get him for his birthday I went to our local Cigar shop and picked him up some for a gift.

Last night he decided to partake in one... He hates having his picture taken so as I was walking away I snapped this without even looking.

Not to shabby for not looking...

Day 155 - Is Winter Really Gone?

Today I was walking inside my house and saw our snow shovel. For a second I thought I should go ahead and put that away, and then I stopped... I can't put it away. The way things go if I put that shovel away, a blizzard will surely follow.

So you can all rest assured if your in northern Indiana, I have left my shovel sitting by my side door and in turn have saved us all from the return of old man winter.

Can you see the little tulip starting to peak up behind the shovel... will it last?

If you can't tell our shovel is very very old...VERY.

Day 134

This is a picture I took yesterday for a class I'm taking. I'm not submitting this one, but it is part of project 365.

Day 130 Last day in Florida

What a day it was... not only was it full of "firsts" for Caide, I got some great pictures of Great Grandma with the boys.

Caide has been standing holding on to me for some time, but yesterday he stood all on his own. I'm pretty sure I saw the look of ... "huh, now what?!".. on his face.

Also at the pool the three amigo's... None are related to us, I just liked the picture.

Caide meets ice cream...

My most favorite shot of the weekend.

Day 112 B Band Converters

These are B Band Converters. These are what Direct TV told me that we need needed to get our new DVR to work. These are what later Direct TV told me were the reason our new DVR was not working.

Every time we call there we get a new village idiot. Either way, now it's working.

Day 102 Hotel Hefner

Our neighbors have two very ill people living in their home. Sometimes on a daily basis we have an ambulance in our driveway picking one of them up from that house. Here is a picture out of my living room window.

Day 99 Coffee Table

I've mentioned this before, but it gets more and more true by the day... I'm running out of things in my own house to photograph.

That brings me to today. I bring you my coffee table.

The pictures pretty much sum it up.

Day 78 of 365 - Evening Web Browsing

I needed something to take pictures of so I harassed Mike while he was surfing the web. He was a good sport.

These were both taken with our point and shoot.

Day 77 - Day Trip to Lafayette

Today we were out on a day trip to Lafayette for grocery and other random shopping that only the "city" can provide.

One thing I've learned more than anything else during this project is always have your camera. I almost forgot it today and actually made Mike turn around so I could grab it.

Well of course I came across things that just HAD to be photographed.

Neither items are related, other than they were both found in Lafayette.

First this... A bird that was just sitting on an interstate off-ramp sign. I'm ashamed to say I don't know what it is. A falcon perhaps? I made Mike turn into some apartment complex where I trekked over a yard, through a fence, and up to a small crick just to snap a picture of this guy.

***EDIT*** Thanks to Krysten tells me that this is a Red Tail Hawk! Thanks Krysten.***

Second, this.... A pink hearse with "Meat Wagon" on the side. How could I NOT take a picture of that?

Day 74 More with my new lense

I'm enjoying my new lens. It's forcing me to get closer to an object or look at something in a new angle or light. I took all of these with my new 50mm 1.8. (Normally a portrait lens, but I'm finding other fun uses.)

I have a think for old buildings and peculiar settings. This is a picture taken at Francesville Drain Company.

More from today...

Day 69/365 Going from the SBN to the MSP

That folks is my shameless attempt at rapping. You have my word I won't attempt it again.

You do have to admit it's a little clever.

On to the pictures. This weekend we went up to Minnesota for the Vikings/Eagles play off game. The original plan was to drive up over two days and then take two days to drive back. While I wasn't looking forward to that, I had resigned myself to it being the most cost effective way. UNTIL, Mike surprised me at the last minute by scored us some pricelined tickets for CHEAP! So we flew up!

Here are Saturday's pictures from the airport and some of the city.

Such a loaded question...

There is something about this picture I like, underlying message maybe?

I organized my pantry today. Is that boring to my readers... probably, but I am ecstatic!

Day 35/365 oh my swollen....

...eye. For the past few days I was complaining that my eye felt like someone punched me in the eye. Well today I'm feeling kinda of crumby and it's swollen. It's not pink eye. I'm not exactly sure what is going on...

In all honesty the pictures don't really show off how much my eye is bugging me.

34/365 Saturday November 29th 2008.

Saturday night the we all sat down to play some cards. While we were cleaning up we discovered that putting things inside our glasses created interesting pictures. Who would have thunk it.

Day 25/365 I think it's safe to put away the sunscreen.

Today I noticed I still had the sunscreen on the shelf by the door. (Easy access, for summertime before we'd go out.) I realized that with a wind chill of 8 and snow in the forecast for the next few days I probably don't need to have it out anymore.

Winter here we come!!

Tomorrow, I'll have something better.
