Mind's Eye!

Have you taken your picture yet this week for Mind's Eye?

Remember this week's theme is "Bridges". I've installed a Mr. Linky to make posting your picture even easier then before.

I thought I would post next week's theme a little early so you can start thinking about it.

Next weeks theme is "Blur". That's right I want you to take a blurry picture ON PURPOSE, be creative!

Here are some answers to FAQ...

Who can participate?

Anyone and everyone. From someone who has never picked up a camera until now to someone who's been shooting forever. I just want to see your world.

Hold old can the picture be?

There is no time limit on when this picture should have been shot, but the idea is to get you out and get the creative juices flowing.

Do I have to participate every week?

No, but the more the merrier.

Remember have fun!!

Day 121 Alphabet Series

Day 120 Kids Photoshoot

Some of you might remember that I did a shoot with these kids some time ago, but I didn't like how they turned out. I decided to opt for some better lighting these turned out much better.

I'm still learning photoshop, and so I realize that I could get rid of the shade from the branch down the middle of his face, but I haven't done it yet.

Day 119 Alphabet Series

Day 118 Caide Just Won't Stop Growing

Caide recently has grown too long for his infant car seat. We've had to switch him to the rear facing convertible seat. He looks so big!

I Heart Faces - Black and White

This week at I Heart Faces the theme is Black and White.

This is my kids entry- Caide at 3 months old.

My adult entry- Glenn and his two girls

What Does Your World Look Like?

I've been thinking about starting a project lately that is interactive.

As many of you know I have been participating over at I Heart Faces.

I've really enjoyed seeing what "wonder" or "silly" means to different people.

That's what has brought me here.

I want to see what your world looks like. I want to see what different phrases or words mean to you. So I've decided to start a new project called, "MINDS EYE".

Each week on Sunday I will post a new theme here in my journal under the tag "Minds Eye". If it gets to big I will consider moving it to a blog of it's own but for now I'd like to just keep it here.

The themes might be specific like "bridge", or it might be more ambiguous like "green" which could mean the color, recycling, etc.

How do you participate?

Simple, take a picture post it to your own blog, and link it back here in the comments. You have all week. Come back and check on this post and see what other people have posted. It's a chance for all of us to get some more blog traffic, and most importantly see what the world looks like to someone else.

Any skill level of photographer can participate, there is no prize, it's all just for fun.

I am sure this will evolve as the weeks go on but for now just pass this along. The more the merrier. I am looking at setting my blog up differently so that this project is easily accessible for anyone to find. Until then play along, and like I said we'll evolve over time.

Thanks so much!

Now to the fun part!!!

This weeks theme is going to be "Bridge"! So go find a lake and take some pictures. Post them back here in the links!! I want to see your stuff.

Here is my BRIDGE!

I need assignments.

I'm now 115 days into Project 365, and I'm finding it hard to think creatively. You can probably tell that from my recent mediocre picture posts.

So a friend of mine asked me to do a picture for him of blue water with bubbles. I happily accepted, and I've worked out how I plan to do that picture.

That request got me thinking though. What do you want to see? Maybe all my creative friends and family have some ideas.

So send me your requests, assignments, etc. What do you want to see pictures of?

Day 117 Ballet

Peyton has been participating in ballet for a few years now and this weekend was her recital.

The theme was "Circus" and she was an elephant. Unfortunately I got very few pictures of her that I really liked, but I did take some others that turned out well.

Day 114 is brought to you by the letter "D"

More from the alphabet series.

Day 113 Alphabet Series

I've decided to try and get all the letters of the alphabet in photos, which has sparked a new series, "The Alphabet Series". Enjoy.

I will probably redo these at some point because of the shadow on them, but for now, it's a start.

Day 112 B Band Converters

These are B Band Converters. These are what Direct TV told me that we need needed to get our new DVR to work. These are what later Direct TV told me were the reason our new DVR was not working.

Every time we call there we get a new village idiot. Either way, now it's working.

Day 106 Air Force One

Last week I heard that the President was coming into town. While I don't care to much about seeing the President himself... (sue me). The plane geek in me did want to see Air Force One.

I managed to get approximately a football field away, which I thought was pretty impressive. I will say it was an impressive sight. It was a horrible day for pictures, but an impressive sight nonetheless.

Here are some of my favorites.
