56/365 Christmas in Wisconsin

The title pretty much sums it up. We had a lovely mini-vacation in Wisconsin right before Christmas. As I wrote about it the previous post, the kids present was suppose to be the water park but Grandma and Grandpa got them a few other tchotchkes.

Kendyl is obsessed with "lipstick". Next year i'm buying a gross of chapsticks for her.

Glenn and Kyrsten, this is the extent of his enthusiasm that day. I should have liquored him up first.

46/365 Making a Gingerbread house

For the past two years my mother and father in law have bought the kids a gingerbread house kit. It's quickly become a tradition, and this year the kids were drooling waiting to dive in and put it together.

Now I'll share with you this fun little tradition.

Day 44/365 Tuesday December 9, 2008

Tonight was Kendyl's preschool Christmas program. Since all the kids were clean I decided to grab our Christmas card picture.

Considering I had 5 squirrelly kids and approximately 7 minutes before her program started, I must say I am pleased.

There are a few other candids from the program also.

Kendyl's teacher, Mrs. Price. Truly a lovely teacher.

She was sitting right in front of us. Is she not the most adorable child ever? (Besides mine of course). Her mom and I were fairly close friends in grade school. I remember taking her to Indiana Beach with me as a kid. She is a very genuinely sweet woman,. This is one of her three adorable kids. I tried to snag a picture of her son but didn't grab a good one.

37/365 We put up the Christmas tree!

The kids begged so tonight we put up the Christmas tree!!

I've been working on using my manual settings in low light/indoor settings. It's a work in progress, so I apologize in advance for the quality of some pictures.

The angel we normally put on the tree didn't fit on top so we thought Caide would make a nice angel!
